Online Crop
I'm hosting an online crop tomorrow for my Meetup group, but will post the projects, instructions and pictures here too! Tomorrow is my day to scrapbook...and clean up my craft room so that I can find the flat surfaces that I used to recognize as tables. Look for my new samples tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Christmas surrounded by family and friends. This holiday season was so busy that I never got around to making my own handmade holiday cards. How sad is that??? I've completed a number of crafty projects recently, but none of them were paper crafts. I just might post pictures anyway. Happy Holidays!

Don't Let It Snow
Here's a sample of the cards I made for my parents to send out this year. All stamped images are from Close to My Heart. Originally they requested that the cards read, "Don't Let It Snow." I loved this idea since we are from California originally and not particularly fond of snow. However, my husband was convinced that people wouldn't understand that it was meant to be funny.
These cards took forever to make!!! I cut every piece by hand and then colored the snowman accessories and glittered everything. Next year they had better choose something that involves pre-made embellishments or shapes I can cut on my Cricut.

A Girl Can Dream
I found this picture while doing a Google Image search. See, I'm on the hunt for scrapbook organization inspiration. Once our downstairs is complete (remodelling, paint, etc.), I've been promised that I will be given the time to organize my craft room. I also want it to be pretty. The section of the craft room pictured below is so bright and perfectly organized. I love all of the glass jars so that all of the embellishments are on display and easy to find. A girl can dream, right?

Best Thanksgiving Ever!
Instead of enjoying a nice, slow Thansgiving dinner with my husband and two boys, I rushed out to Michaels to buy Cricut cartridges! I had a few bites of food--about a saucer's worth--and was off. One night earlier I ventured down to our local Michaels to see which cartridges they had in stock. Much to my delight I discovered that they had the brand new Cars cartridge. My boys are absolutely obsessed with all things Cars so I was determined to get one for $30. I arrived 40 minutes before their Thanksgiving night opening and was thrilled to be second in line. This made me feel a little pathetic, but I just kept telling myself that it was for the boys! Naturally, I bought a few more that I just HAD to have. Who can pass these up for just $30? I am now the proud owner of a total of 19 cartridges. Woo hoo!
Photo Cards
This is the photo Christmas card (I made 75, not 1) that I made for one of this year's customers. She loves clean lines and nothing seasonal. Oddly, this always proves to be more challenging for me than I expect! Their family picture is adorable and inspired the color scheme. For me, designing a photo card around a specific picture is a breeze. I think it's because it's just like scrapbooking--only miniature.

Everyone is SICK!
The boys and I are all sick. I've made some new things, but haven't had the chance to take pictures yet. As soon as we are well enough and I'm able to mail out a few orders to customers, I'll update the ol' blog.

November Mini Supplement
Oh my, I am in trouble this month. To say that I love Doodlebug Designs, does not explain my feelings for this brand adequately. I HAVE to have this month's incentive gift--the 12 pack crushed velvet flock set. LOVE it! Those Bazzill In Stich'z templates are an absolute must as well! Let's be honest, I want one of everything in this catalog supplement. Check out my main website to download the complete supplement.

Be Merry, Be Bright
'Tis the season of the Christmas card. I have three holiday card workshops on the horizon and I don't want to teach the same darn cards over and over again. Despite the illness that has taken down 3/4 of my household (everyone but me), I managed to entertain the little ones just long enough to make one card sample today. This card is not something to be sent through the USPS unless you want to pay extra for thickness (what an infuriating rule, by the way).
Supplies used: Die Cuts With A View (card, patterned paper, textured cardstock), Bazzill Basics (stocking template), Jo-ann Stores Inc. (ribbon), Hero Arts (acrylic stamp), Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. (snowflake), DMC (floss)

Journal
I love Fancy Pants Designs! This journal feels so nice...it almost made me want to keep a journal. I used to be really good about writing down all the cute details about the boys and the funny things they would say. There must be 3 composition books floating around here, one quarter full of my everyday observations. Even if I can't commit to daily journal entries, I still have fun decorating their exteriors!
Supplies used: Fancy Pants Designs (journal), Cosmo Cricket (patterned paper, velvet ribbon), Die Cuts With A View (textured cardstock), Bazzill (paper flower), Making Memories (button), K & Co. (chipboard stickers, chipboard embellishments)

Two More Projects
Here are two more fun projects--one clothespin photo holder and one simple card design. I've made 10 of these Christmas cards for an upcoming holiday bazaar, but I love this desing for any occasion.
FYI--My sewing machine is finally up and running again. Expect to see lots of sewing in my upcoming posts. Not traditional sewing with fabric, of course. However, I do hope to finally use this sewing machine for fabric at least once before this year is over!

Halloween Cards II
After another productive scrapbooking crop here at my house, I have more cards to share! It seemed as though I could locate nothing that we needed in my craft room last night, so I chose to keep my cards simple so as not to overwhelm myself. Ha! Plus, there was the most adorable baby girl (we all love Shelby) who I just had to hold every time she made a peep.
Supplies used: Die Cuts with a View (cards), Bazzill (textured cardstock), Doodlebug Designs (patterned paper, rubber stamps), American Crafts (markers)
Acrylic Mini Album
I am not a huge fan of mini albums, but I love these Fancy Pants Bracket Albums. The shape is adorable and I think they will be very popular at the upcoming craft shows. I cannot wait to make a whole bunch more of these!!!
Supplies used: Fancy Pants Designs (acrylic pieces, rub-ons, patterned paper), Die Cuts with a View (textured cardstock), Stickles (glitter glue), Prima (flowers)
Slacker
Okay, so it seems like I've been slacking where the blog is concerned. It's been VERY busy around here. Fortunately, I've completed lots of projects and have taken the pictures of most of them. Tonight I'll upload some new projects, I promise! We have family portraits this afternoon so wish us luck...Nathan never smiles for strangers!!!

Jumbo Clothespin
It's craft fair season and I need to get my behind in gear! I have to make a bunch of paper bag albums, cards, altered items, etc., to sell at the upcoming shows. Since I also had to entertain my boys while crafting yesterday, I kept to small projects. With the help of Play-Doh, crayons and Color Wonder products, I was able to complete two jumbo clothespins and a handful of Christmas cards. Here's the Christmas clothespin just waiting to display your favorite holiday photo!

Chipboard Tag Album
This great chipboard album is from Creative Imaginations' Bare Elements line. I love all things chipboard!!! I just finished this project last night while my hubby was off buying Cold Stone ice cream. Yummy! Nothing motivates me to complete a task quickly like the sweet reward of coffee ice cream.
I have no idea who makes the patterned paper that I used for this album. I remember buying it a few years ago at Michaels. Since it was 8" X 8" paper, it just sat in a stack of other similarly sized paper until I pulled it out for this project.

15-Minute Layout
Or maybe 20 minutes. It's hard to say since I had both of my boys sitting across the table from me playing with Play Doh while I completed this quick layout. Can you believe I scrapbooked with a solid white background? It surprised me! I even wrote the little details out by hand! I never visibly write on my layouts. I was very determined to complete this layout quickly that afternoon.
Supplies used: Bazzill (cardstock), Die Cuts With A View (patterned paper), Daisy D's (flowers), Scenic Route (chipboard), Provo Craft (die cut machine).

Halloween Cards
I swear that I am a scrapbooker. What is with all of these cards? Suddenly, all I want to do is make cards! I think it's because I can finish so many, so quickly.
At yesterday's scrapbooking crop here at my house, I finished one layout and made these two simple halloween cards. Only 34 more halloween cards to go!

Scrap Paper Card
If you are anything like me, you have tons of scrap paper on hand at any given time. I'm usually pretty good about digging through my solid scraps when I need to cut something on my Cricut or need just a splash of color on a layout. My patterned paper scraps, on the other hand, sit neglected most of the time. This is a very simple card that I have made many times before using different patterned scraps to suit a variety of themes. This particular card is another sample for one of my upcoming card workshops. Everyone has scrap paper...I figured everyone should make this simple card so they can duplicate it at home to use up their stash of scraps too!

Michaels Coupon--40% off everything!!
I just got my hot little hands on this coupon otherwise I would have posted it earlier. It's good for 40% off your ENTIRE purchase--only good through tomorrow, the 30th. Print up some extras and pass them out to customers. I'm sure the manager will love you. Oh, this coupon was an accident on Michaels part, but they have to honor it anyway. I had NO problems at all when I used mine today.

Handsome
Today I was able to scrapbook while the boys sat across the table (2 tables pushed together) and played with playdough! I created this layout and finished a second 2-page layout. That's incredible for me! I absolutely love this picture of the boys and decided to devote an entire layout to those adorable faces. I have at least 25 other cute pictures from this same afternoon that I'll scrapbook later. I used my Bazzill In Stich'z for the cute title and arrow, all Bazzill solid paper, Doodlebug rub-ons for the date and DCWV patterned paper.
Baby Boy Paper Bag Album
I LOVE to make paper bag albums!!! This is one of my most recent albums. I used mostly Die Cuts with a View patterned paper and Bazzill textured solid cardstock. The album size is approximately 8" X 8". I'm still debating about whether or not I should use this as a class sample for an upcoming workshop or if I should just begin mass producing these for the upcoming holiday craft fair season. I love this DCWV paper so much that I have enough in stock to make at least 9 more Baby Boy albums and 3 Baby Girl albums.
**If you would like to order a kit to make your own Baby Boy or Girl paper bag album, let me know. The cost is $12 and includes all supplies (except adhesives) and instructions with pictures.**

Upcoming Card Workshop
Lori and I are hosting a Card Workshop on September 18 through our Meetup group. I have all but one sample complete! Yay! Here is my interpretation of a card that is featured in one of my Bazzill idea books. I love everything Bazzill! Their In Stich'z line has inspired me to stitch a pattern or outline on just about everything.

Welcome!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my new blog. I'm hoping to use this to keep my friends, family and students inspired now that we are spread out all over the country. With a little luck, they will also continue to share their work with me as I follow my Navy husband all over the place.
My goal: To add new photos of completed projects at least twice a week!
I have no problem creating lots of fun projects...my problem is that I rarely take photos of everything. This has to change!
Check back often to see samples, new inventory items, etc. Also, check out my main website www.delovelyscrapbooks.com to see my upcoming class schedule and information about sales.
